«Intertechelectro-New Generation» put Noyabrsk CCGT PP into operation

Formal putting into operation of the Noyabrsk CCGT PP (122 MW and 95 Gcal/h) took place on November 19, 2010 in Noyabrsk.
Construction was performed by the «Intertechelectro-New Generation» group of companies. The Noyabrsk CCGT power plant is the first large centralized power source and the only generation facility in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district having such performance. It was fully constructed on the basis of private investments and this is the first medium-power facility built by an independent investor after the RF power industry reform.
Because of the weather conditions the plane with Viktor Basargin, minister of region development, who headed to Noyabrsk to participate in the ceremony, was landed in the town of Surgut. But that was no obstacle to took part in the ceremony remotely. At the Tyumen RDP central board that controls all the Western Siberia power system Viktor Basargin permitted the power plant operation start-up following which he was reported of the station successful launch.
Viktor Basargin appreciated highly the plant performance: «The Noyabrsk CCGT power plant is one of the first large facilities built in recent years in the Urals federal area. It has great efficiency and its launch witnesses a step-by-step fulfillment of the mission set by President and Government of the RF on construction of new energy efficient capacities». The minister congratulated the «Intertechelectro-New Generation» staff on work commencement.
As Artyom Bikov, Chairman of the Board of the LLC «Intertechelectro-New Generation», remarked, the station construction project is unique in many ways. The Noyabrsk CCGT power plant became the first power facility in Russia having General Electric gas turbines. It’s also interested that the plant was built on a green field basis. «A very important thing is that Viktor Basargin, minister of region development, taking part in the ceremony was one of the pioneers of the «Industrial Urals-Polar Urals» megaproject under which the power plant is built, - stressed Artyom Bikov.- «The Noyabrsk CCGT power plant putting into operation indicates development of the project power component».
Stanislav Karapetyan, General director of the LLC «Intertechelectro-New Generation», stressed that finalization of the Noyabrsk CCGT power plant construction acknowledges not only the «Intertechelectro-New Generation» group of companies’ competence in implementation of difficult projects in complicated economic and climatic conditions but also comfort of the regional investment climate necessary to execute large-scale projects and conduct business by private companies».
The honorary guests had a look at the turbine hall and machinery. The Noyabrsk CCGT power plant is equipped with General Electric gas turbines specially prepared for operation in the Yamal severe climatic conditions. As Ruslan Pakhomov, executive director of GE Energy in Russia, said: «this is one of the most important power projects in Russia for us implemented after the 1980s. “Intertechelectro” is a particular customer for GE Energy in Russia as this project fully demonstrates cooperation of business and RF Government in Russia power infrastructure modernization”.
The power station is one of the most technically innovative facilities of such kind in Russia and fully meets modern requirements to power efficiency and environmental security.
