Kurgan HPP-2 hot-water boilers have undergone hydraulic testing
19 August 2010
The peak hot water boilers by CJSC Energomash (Belgorod) are installed at the power plant. Full compliance of the performance to the equipment certified values has been confirmed during the tests.
Now, the gas and steam turbines with the load gears and generators are put on the foundations, installation in progress. HRSG #1 semi-modules are being mounted in the boiler room, ALE gantry crane assembly designated for installation of HRSG #2 is in progress, coast pumping station and gas treatment one are being constructed, piping stack installation has been started. Plant heat power distribution scheme is being built involving 7.4 km main pipeline routing and its connecting to the existing heat tracing.
The Kurgan HPP-2 will comprise 2 power units, 111 MW each. Each power unit consists of the General Electric 76 MW PG 6111FA gas turbine, Siemens 35 MW SST-400 steam cogeneration turbine and HRSG.
The HPP installed electric output is 222 MW, the heat power being 250 Gcal/h. The Kurgan HPP-2 construction will allow improving the Kurgan region power supply and provide conditions for social and economic development of the city and region.
