Kurgan HPP– 2 construction project is represented at 1st Russian forum for strategic infrastructure development

Vladimir Babyak, General director of CJSC Intertechelectro, made a presentation of the Kurgan HPP-2 construction project at the 1st international Russian forum for strategic infrastructure development that took place in Moscow on May11-13, 2010. The forum was organized by the American-Russian business board and CG/LA infrastructure.
50 best Russian projects designated to make conditions to increase marketability of the country in the world were reviewed at the forum «Infrastructural projects: accelerator of Russia competitiveness». The projects discussed at the forum are strategically important for international business collaboration within the near 3–12 months. The representatives of the macro-sectors such as state policy also participated in the forum.
The Kurgan HPP-2 construction was reviewed under the discussion dedicated to presentation of the projects involving state-private partnership. The Kurgan power plant construction project execution is performed by the Intertechelectro-New Generation group of companies by export financing with attraction of the Czech Export Bank credit and RF Investment fund monetary resources. In 2009 the project received federal support amounting to 1 328,5 million rubles of which 991,6 million rubles were provided by the RF Investment fund while 336,9 million rubles were given by the Kurgan region budget. The budget funds are directed to the heat power distribution scheme construction that will be owned by the Kurgan region Government.
The Kurgan HPP-2 construction project execution is an example of successful practical implementation of the state-private partnership. Allocation of budgetary funds provides the project financial efficiency for an investor and also makes possible attraction of large-scale private investments to the economy of the Kurgan region, in particular, and country, in general, and solves social and economic issues of the area.
