The Kurgan CHPP-2 main building construction is completed. Heat has been supplied to the building what will allow equipment installing in winter.
The main building wall panels and roof are installed on the Kurgan CHPP-2 site. For heat supply electric air heaters are placed inside. They will allow installing main and auxiliary equipment in winter.
At present steam and gas turbines foundations are erected inside the main building. The bridge cranes have been assembled which will be used for the equipment installation and plant operation. Administrative and auxiliary blocks, circulating pumping station, fan cooling tower pool are being constructed.
The Kurgan CHPP-2 will comprise 2 power units, 111 MW each. Each power unit consists of the General Electric 76 MW PG 6111FA gas turbine, Siemens 35 MW SST-400 steam cogeneration turbine and HRSG. The CHPP installed electric output is 222 MW, heat power being 250 Gcal/h. The Kurgan CHPP-2 construction will allow improving the Kurgan region power supply and provide conditions for social and economic development of the city and region.
