Structural steel installation is being completed at Chelyabinsk CHPP-3

CJSC «Intertechelectro» is continuing works on construction of the Chelyabinsk CHPP-3 220 MW CCGT power unit #3 being the part of the OJSC «Territorial generating company №10» (TGK-10).

The main building extended part structural steel installation is being completed at the site. Erection of metalwork of the boiler-house flank extended part is coming to an end and the flank rolling-up is prepared. Totally, there are more than 550 tons of structural steel on site. The power unit #3 boiler foundations have been arranged. A temporary partition wall between the operating second power unit and the third unit under construction is built. Preparatory works on construction of the turbine sets, cooling tower and stack foundations are performed.

In accordance with results of the open contest, CJSC «Intertechelectro» is selected the general contractor on implementation of the Chelyabinsk CHPP-3 extension project. As a matter of the project execution the following will be done: engineering exploration, design documentation development and agreement, equipment and materials delivery, installation and commissioning works, facility preparation and putting into operation.

The Chelyabinsk CHPP-3 power unit #3 equipment will comprise the 155 MW GTE-160 gas turbine by OJSC "Leningrad metal plant", “Kaluga turbine plant” 60 MW steam turbine and HRSG of «ZIO-Podolsk”. Putting into operation of the 3rd power unit will increase reliability of power supply of housing consumers and industrial facilities in the city of Chelyabinsk.
