The Intertechelectro - New Generation Group of Companies celebrates the 7th Anniversary

The foundation of Intertechelectro CJSC, a company that paved the way for the development of the entire Group, was a starting point in the history of the Intertechelectro - New Generation Group of companies. Also in 2001, the Russian Government took a far-reaching decision on restructuring the power industry monopoly.

At that time, Intertechelectro’s specialists were deeply involved in large projects such as the construction of a 800 MW power generating unit at Nizhnevartovsk GRES, a 220 MW Combined Cycle Unit at Tyumen HPP-1, a gas turbine plant at Tomskneft’s Igolsko-Talovoye field, a 800 MW power-generating unit №1 at Talimardzhanskaya thermal power plant, the largest power plant in the Republic of Uzbekistan, etc. The Company was one of the first companies in Russia to construct power generating facilities on a turn-key basis.

Four years later, in 2005, Intertechelectro CJSC became a “launch pad” for the implementation of a concept of establishing the new company, Intertechelectro - New Generation LLC. The new project & investment management company charge itself with the development and implementation of its own power plant construction & operation investment projects. Besides the above-mentioned two companies, the Group incorporated in its structure such companies as Project & Engineering Center of New Generation LLC, Design Institute Teploelectroproekt JSC (Tashkent) and operating & service company Service of New Generation LLC. All companies under the umbrella of the Group focus on the integrated implementation of power plant construction projects as well as perform certain activities pertaining to the investment project preparation, engineering, design development, construction, startup & commissioning, repair, operation, and upgrading of power generating and power system related facilities.

The Intertechelectro - New Generation Group of companies applied its vast expertise in the integrated approach to the construction of power generating facilities and became one the of the first companies in Russia to initiate an in-house private power plant construction project. In 2007, the Group started the construction of Noyabrsk Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant with an electric and heat power output of 124 MW and 90 Gcal/h, respectively, in the town of Noyabrsk (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District). For the time being, the construction of the power plant is nearing completion; major power generating equipment has already been installed on the foundations. In 2007, another corporate project of the Group was launched: construction of Kurgan HPP-2 (222 MW/250 Gcal/h). The Company aggressively works to fulfill its commitments within the frames of concluded EPC contracts: a gas turbine power plant at RN-Yuganskneftegaz’s Priobskoye field; a 100 MW Combined Cycle Unit at Vologodskaya HPP (TGK-2 OJSC) and a 230 MW Combined Cycle Unit at Chelyabinsk HPP-3 (TGK-10 OJSC). The Company is also involved in the implementation of TGK-11 and TGK-6 projects as a Technical Agent.

The Group’s merits in the field of the EPC project implementation are marked by the prize «Breakthrough of the Year: the most promising EPC/EPCM company» awarded to the Company within the frames of the National Award in the field of Engineering and Project Management (ЕРСМ Awards 2007) held in March 2008.

Over the past 7 years, the Group of companies has built many grid infrastructure facilities (substations, power transmission lines) and maintained/ repaired equipment at existing power plants and grid facilities. Today, all companies of the Group are certified to the ISO standards which confirm the sound quality of works performed by these companies.
