Czech Export Bank Representatives Visited Kurgan CHPP-2

Representatives of the Czech Export Bank and Insurance Company EGAP paid a working visit of Kurgan CHPP-2.  

The guests examined the Main building of the power plant, the integrated control panel and talked with the power plant personnel. Executive Director of CHPP-2 Narkis Galiaskarov updated the guests on the current operation of power plant.

The Czech partners highly appreciated the experience of cooperation with Kurgan CHPP-2. During the visit, the Bank representative emphasized that they manage to find mutually acceptable solutions for the arising challenges. Thus, in 2016 the experts of “Intertechelectro” Group of companies replaced the power plant gas-booster compressors with the new ones.

Stanislav Karapetyan, CEO of LLC “Intertechelectro — New Generation” – the managing company of Kurgan CHPP-2 - noted that interaction with the Czech partners is extremely productive: "The Czech Export Bank has been paying close attention to our project from the moment of the Credit Agreement execution. In the relations with our company, the Bank would always meet us halfway in the solution of all arising issues and cooperated with us, based on mutually advantageous conditions, taking into account the existing economic realia".

The Czech export Bank is the main creditor of the Kurgan CHPP-2 construction. The Credit Agreement was signed in 2008. The scheme of commodity and export crediting was utilized for the construction of CHPP-2. Part of the main and auxiliary equipment, including steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, cooling towers were made at the Czech enterprises.

Kurgan CHPP-2 was put into operation in 2014 and it is one of the most technically advanced power generating facilities in the territory of the Ural Federal District. The installed electric power of the power plant makes 226 MW, the thermal output is 250 Gcal/h. In 2016 Kurgan CHPP-2 was rated second in the annual rating by NP The Market Council "Generating companies: the generating equipment performance efficiency".
