City executives from the Ural Federal District visited Kurgan CHP-2

Within the framework of the Coordination Council session, which was held in Kurgan, members of the “Ural Cities” Association visited Kurgan CHP-2 and familiarized themselves with the project implementation experience.
The delegation included representatives from Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Perm, Salekhard, Sarapul, Shadrinsk, Dalmatovo.
To date the construction of the power plant facilities has been fully completed. Equipment reliability runs have been carried out on Power Units No 1 and 2 and their operating capacity has been qualified. Based on the test results the power plant committed capacity has been qualified by the Grid Operator of the Unified Energy System of Russia.
The delegation members highly appreciated the significance of CHP-2 for the Kurgan region, which experiences power shortages, took note of the advanced technologies, employed during the equipment selection and construction phases. The guests showed a particular interest in the public-private cooperation pattern, utilized during the project implementation and the investor’s experience in interacting with the Government of the Kurgan region.
