A scheduled inspection of Kurgan CHP-2 by Rostekhnadzor has been completed

A routine inspection of Kurgan CHP-2 by the Ural Directorate of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, has been completed. The inspection has revealed no serious discrepancies which could impact the power plant commissioning.
The power plant inspection was carried out by the Ural Directorate of Rostekhnadzor from September 3 to September 14, 2012. The inspection was focused on compliance of the performed work, utilized construction materials and work results with the requirements of the technical regulations and design documentation.
According to Narkis Galiaskarov, Managing Director of LLC “Kurgan CHP”, all works subject to supervision by Rostkhnadzor, are carried out under the control of representatives of the Ural Directorate of Rostekhnadzor. “We maintain continuous coordination and timely address the issues, identified by the Rostekhnadzor representatives, - said Narkis Galiaskarov – The conducted inspection has not revealed any gaps that can affect the progress of the ongoing commissioning works”.
Today finishing works in the main building are completed; the fire-protection and ventilation systems are installed. The interconnected control board is commissioned. Construction of the gas treatment plant and installation of the gas treatment equipment is completed, the gas booster compressors are installed, the gas supply, required for the main equipment commissioning has been provided. Construction of the circulating and make-up water pumping stations as well as the cooling tower has been completed. The 110 kV open switchgear has been mounted and energized. The administrative and amenity building has been erected, the exterior and interior finishing works are nearing completion. The plant communication lines have been laid; the security and CCTV systems have been installed at the CHP site. Construction of the on-site roads is underway and the site improvements are in progress. The heat distribution scheme is fully completed.
