On July 14, 2011 Stanislav Karapetyan, General director of Intertechelectro-New Generation, and Alexander Misharin, Governor of Sverdlovsk region, signed the Agreement of intent on construction of a 220 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in the Titanium valley being a free economic area.

The Verkhnesaldinskaya HPP to be constructed by Intertechelectro-New Generation is scheduled to become the main source of electric and heat power for the free economic area. The Titanium valley will be located near the village of Verkhnyaya Salda in the Sverdlovsk region. In the neighborhood of the largest titanium production a 1,000.00 hectare industrial area with the required infrastructure will be arranged.

As Stanislav Karapetyan, General director of Intertechelectro-New Generation, says the agreement signing was the first important step to implement the project. «Participation in such a project as the Titanium valley is an interesting experience for our company, and we are sure in success as in recent years Intertechelectro-New Generation has constructed in the Urals a number of CCGT power plants like the Verkhnesaldinskaya HPP», Stanislav Karapetyan said.
