LLC EDC-NG designs HPP for JSC Chelyabinsk Tube-rolling plant

LLC Engineering-design center of New generation will design a HPP for JSC Chelyabinsk tube-rolling plant, one of the main Russian piping manufacturers. The HPP construction on the plant site will cover its demands in electric and heat supply.
The LLC EDC-NG experts will perform a two-step project, i.e., design and working documentation, including a complete engineering survey to locate a facility on the JSC ChelPipe area, architectural-building, space-planning and constructive solutions for the main building, auxiliary buildings, mechanical, electrical and water treatment solutions as well as utilities and DCS. The HPP installed electric capacity is 80 MW, heat one being 30 Gcal/h.
The HPP is assumed to be equipped with 8 Wartsila 20V34SG natural gas piston units, 9.73 MW each, and HRSGs. Its putting in operation will be done in two steps by 40 MW. This new power plant will cover completely demands in electric and heat supply and reduce end-use products’ prime cost due to decrease of expenses on electric and heat power.
