Vologda HPP 110 MW GT is put on foundation
17 May 2011
CJSC «Intertechelectro» is going on construction works of the 110 MW/75 Gcal/h CCGT PP at the Vologda HPP, OJSC TGK-2 being the customer. The General Electric PG 6111FA gas turbine together with the generator and load gear has been put on the foundation, installation is being arranged.
The GE 6FA is made on the basis of the up-to-date F-class technology that is the leader in the power industry on general operation cycle and reliability. 6FA is distinguished by high efficiency, flexibility and designated for severe operation.
At present the CCGT PP main building wall panels’ and roof installation is coming to and end, the HRSG foundation is build, the steam turbine pedestal is being erected, foundations of outer facilities (gas treatment station, oil warehouse, cooling tower, etc.) are being made. The steam turbine and the generator, gas booster, modular transformers, cooling tower are already on the site, the HRSG semi-modules are expected to be delivered in May, 2011.
The Vologda HPP CCGT power unit will consist of a General Electric PG 6111FA 75 MW gas turbine, a Kaluga turbine plant 35 MW steam turbine and HRSG by Austrian Energy & Environment.
Upon the CCGT power unit installation the HPP electric and heat power output will increase substantially what will permit to lower the Vologda region dependence on power supply from other areas, higher reliability of energy and heat delivery to the population, housing complex and plant facilities and arrange conditions for the Vologda infrastructure development. The facility is planned to be put into operation in 2012.
