110 MW CCGT PP steam turbine is delivered to Vologda HPP

06 September 2010

CJSC Intertechelectro is going on to build the Vologda HPP 110 MW/75 Gcal/h CCGT power unit. The steam turbine has been delivered to the site. The power plant is being constructed under the investment program of OJSC Regional generating company #2.

The turbine weighing 58 tons was shipped from the Kaluga plant and transported by railway to Vologda. Its further delivery to the Vologda HOPP was made by truck using special platforms. Before this, the gas turbine, generator and steam turbine condenser was delivered to the site.

Т-28/35-8,8/0,1 35 MW steam co-generation turbine is manufactured by OJSC Kaluga turbine plant. It is distinguished by compactability and repair and maintenance ease from existing countertypes.

At present, main equipment foundations are being made, gas turbine foundation enforcing is being finished. The main building frame steel structures have been installed, basement panels are almost constructed, wall panels and roof are being prepared for installation. A part of the process piping is removed from the site, third parties’ transit electric cables will also be put aside, the main building perimeter drainage is being built.

The Vologda HPP CCGT power unit will consist of a General Electric PG 6111FA 75 MW gas turbine, a Kaluga turbine plant 35 MW steam turbine and HRSG by Austrian Energy & Environment.

Upon the CCGT power unit installation the HPP electric and heat power output will increase substantially what will permit to lower the Vologda region dependence on power supply from other areas, higher reliability of energy and heat delivery to the population, housing complex and plant facilities and arrange conditions for the Vologda infrastructure development. The Vologda CCGT power unit is built under the OJSC TGK-2 investment program. The facility is planned to be put into operation in 2011.
