LLC «EDC-NG» is proceeding to work on the Razdan CHPP power unit #5 modernization

Technical specifications on supply of major and auxiliary equipment are prepared and sent to the customer. Basic drawings of the power unit main building and de-aerating plant are corrected. The specialists designed new master and location plan of the facility. The installation drawings of major and auxiliary equipment, main electric diagram, 220 kV open switchgear are fully completed.

At present correction of the drawings of hot water boilers, HP and LP piping and boiler unit is fulfilled. Boilers foundations, water treatment and demineralizing units, hot water boiling house, HVAC, auxiliary buildings and facilities are being designed. Improvement of the Razdan CHPP power unit #5 involves modernization of the steam power module into a CCGT power unit with burnt gases exhaust from the Alstom 160 MW gas turbine to the block steam boiler, installation of an up-to-date gas turbine and other power equipment having high technical-and-economic indices. As a result, the power unit capacity will reach 431 MW.

LLC “Engineering & Design center of New Generation” and CJSC “ArmRosgazprom” signed in October, 2008 a contract on the power unit design under reconstruction program. The official representative office of the company was established in the city of Erevan.
