LLC «EDC-NG» is proceeding to work on Razdan CHPP power unit #5 modernization

Technical specifications on supply of major and auxiliary equipment including gas processing station, turbine expander, water boilers, steam power unit relay protection and automation equipment are prepared and sent to the customer. Basic drawings of the power unit main building, stack, seismic protection constructions were corrected. The specialists designed new master and location plan of the facility. Major drawings and location solutions on the Alstom GT unit are completed and sent to the customer for approval. At present the works on development of the project electric part major schematic and layout solutions, drawings of demineralizers are fulfilled, facility static and cyclic strength and seismic impact is calculated.
Improvement of the Razdan CHPP power unit #5 involves modernization of the steam power module into a CCGT power unit with burnt gases exhaust from the Alstom 160 MW gas turbine to the block steam boiler as well as installation of an up-to-date gas turbine and other power equipment having high technical-and-economic indices. As a result, the power unit capacity will reach 431 MW.
LLC “Engineering & Design center of New Generation” and CJSC “ArmRosgazprom” signed in October, 2008 a contract on the power unit design under reconstruction program. Early 2009 the Committee on urban construction and architecture of the Republic of Armenia issued a license to LLC “Engineering & Design center of New Generation” for planning works in power industry, industrial and civil construction on the territory of the republic. In December, 2008 the official representative office of the company was established in the city of Erevan.
