17 March 2009
The state expertise of the 110 MW power unit construction design documentation has been conducted in accordance with the Provision on organization and execution of state expertise of design documentation and engineering survey results. In the course of the expertise the project technical and cost estimate parts were checked. It took three months to obtain the conclusion. Following the state expertise results, the CCGT power unit construction project was stated to conform to all the existing requirements. It makes possible to launch the power facility capital construction works.
The Vologda CHPP CCGT power unit will consist of a “General Electric” PG 6111FA 77 MW gas turbine, a “Kaluga turbine plant” 35 MW steam turbine and HRSG. Upon the CCGT power unit installation the CHPP electric power output will increase threefold what will permit to lower Vologda region dependence on power supply from other areas and to higher reliability of energy delivery to the population, housing complex and plant facilities of Vologda.
